Amanda Lang

Amanda Lang is a business news presenter for CBC Newsworld.  She was part of the team that helped launch BNN (formerly Report on Business Television) in 1999, and covered the U.S. markets from Manhattan. At that time, Lang was also the New York correspondent for the Financial Post. In 2000, Lang left the network for CNN where she reported from the New York Stock Exchange as anchor and correspondent for it and its business network, CNNfn. During her years as a business reporter, she has covered stock markets, the economy, financial instruments, the technology beat, Wall Street, U.S. politics, and more. Lang began her career in journalism at The Globe and Mail where she edited the Classroom Edition.

Lang returned to BNN in the late 2000's presenting programmes such as 'the commodities report', before it was announced in the summer of 2009 that she will be moving to CBC Newsworld to front a new business programme focusing on the days business and economics events.
